So let's talk a little bit more about configuring communication.

But if we come up here to set up and then go into panel manager you're going to see that just like I showed you in the first lecture in this section we've got all these different comm ports and I'm going to give you a little bit more detail here.

This is really cool if you look down here in the bottom left.

So if we wanted we could right click on let's say ether net poured go with new and maybe this HDMI is going to also communicate with a different PLCC.

So here you could set up an IP address you know ports all the different Internet configurations which are not trying to make you an expert on what our response time is and half of this stuff I don't even know and you don't work with very often anyway but those are really just fine tuning parameters in case for some reason you need them based on your network infrastructure or some kind of device issues.

But it's that easy to modify your communications and even on our serial port you know if we wanted to get in here and perhaps on the full version you're allowed to swap these ports around in this application.

We really can't do very much of anything but this is where we can set up all of our protocols and really drive this thing to communicate with basically all of the popular PCs on the market.

I'm sure there are some you know really cheap kind of after market type PCs out there that this won't talk to.
